The place was clean and beautifully presented, and the amenities offered felt adequate for a business traveler. I especially appreciated the outdoor seating area for some fresh air, which was nice after a long day at work.
The mattress in my room was incredibly soft, which resulted in some uncomfortable rolling during the night. The drinks were overpriced, with a gin and tonic and glass of wine nearing £13. There was also a service charge added on, and the room faced a busy road, making traffic noise noticeable during the day, though it was quieter at night. If you require bathroom access, be aware that it may be located across the hallway from your room, which may not be convenient, especially for those who prefer en-suites.

Cozy stay with lovely hosts!
Philip and Nicky were such a delight and made us feel at home right away. The breakfast selection was top-notch, with fresh fruit and awesome cooked options. The gardens are lovely too! Just wish the bed was a bit bigger for our family. Would've loved a water bottle in the room as well.

The Forge is a charming little gem that radiates character with its wonderful beamed ceilings and immaculate cleanliness. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delightful selection of fresh fruit, homemade jams, and a Full English that was even better than what we had at a supposed five-star hotel the week prior. The warmth and hospitality from Philip and Nicky were unmatched, making the entire experience feel personalized and cozy.
Some road noise.
